The QIP system is playing an ever-increasing role in the category of professional photography in Italy. It’s an opportunity to certify one’s professionalism and increasing numbers of photographers are applying. It is also an opportunity for photographers to participate and verify their skills which is always useful, whatever the outcome. It is important to remember that all the professional photography associations recognize this system and this qives the qualification an added guarantee of impartiality and credibility.
Any photographer who is a member of an association which recognizes the system may participate (Confartigianato, CNA, Confcommercio, Tau Visual). The body which awards the qualification is the Orvieto Fotografia international foundation. The images are examined by a national jury composed of photographers who are all qualified at European level. The QIP qualification is a prerequisite for participation in the European Qualification (QEP system).
