Sixth edition of the most expected international photography contest of the year.

The competition is open to any Italian and foreign professional photographer, without any discrimination of race, religion, nationality and culture, residing in countries whose national associations are members of FEP and WCPP. Special JUNIOR Section is also open to teachers and students of legal recognized photography schools. Teachers and students photographs will be judged by March 9, 2009 according to the same rules valid for professional photographers. The contestant with the highest score will be the Special JUNIOR Section winner.
Results will be communicated on March 14, 2009 in Orvieto. The images of the first 20 selected JUNIOR Section photographers will be exhibited during the award ceremony on March 14, 2009 in Orvieto. The contest mission is to promote photography as a profession, to enhance professional quality standards and to give appreciation to those who work in this branch with care, at the highest professional standards. “FIOF Professional Photography Awards 2009" is a nonprofit-contest. All takings will be used for contest organization social aims.
The contest is divided in 5 categories: - wedding - portraiture - advertisin (fashion included) - reportage - open.
Entries must be submitted by March 6, 2009 via the following website: awards.fiof.it
Contestants must submit 4 images (size 20x30 cm) for each category they are interested in. Submissions must have 100 dpi resolution and be saved as Jpegs (.jpg) at 12.
No identyfing mark is allowed anywhere on the entry.Advertising campaign photographs must show no other graphic elements besides the image itself. Photographs should have been taken within the last two years (2007-2008).
Contestants warrant on their own responsibility that the whole production phase and post-production phase were carried out personally by themselves or under their guidance. Contestants are not allowed to submit 2 images with the same theme, unless the image processing did not produce 2 totally different images. Jury reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify non admissible images.
Images must be uploaded at the moment of entry via the following website: awards.fiof.it. Contestants may enter just 4 images for each category. Contestants may enter in as many categories as they see fit, sending 4 different photographs for each category.
Entry fees:
1 category: 50 euros - 2 categories: 80 euros - 3 categories: 110 euros - more than 3 categories, max. five: 160 euros.
